I graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor of Science in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology, a minor in Psychology, and a Master of Science in Communication Disorders in 2011. For as long as I could remember, working with children has always been a dream, so naturally, I chose my focus to be in Pediatrics. Since then I’ve gained experience in a variety of settings from schools, inpatient hospital, private practice, as well as telepractice. I’ve also worked with a plethora of diagnosis such as autism, Downs, expressive/receptive language delay, feeding disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, articulation and phonological disorders, and hearing loss to name a few. Being mindful of mental health and integrating strategies for emotional well-being is an approach I feel strongly about in each of my therapy sessions. It’s vital for children and adults both to be emotionally regulated to create a strong foundation for learning new skills. Being a mother of two myself, I also recognize the importance of empowering families and caregivers and make it a priority to educate, guide, and train them to aid them in generalizing therapy strategies inside the home allowing their children to progress faster.
Alongside being an SLP, I’m also a children’s author, and an entrepreneur.
