Kazima Wajahat, MS, CCC-SLP

I graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor of Science in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology, a minor in Psychology, and a Master of Science in Communication Disorders in 2011. For as long as I could remember, working with children has always been a dream, so naturally, I chose my focus to be in Pediatrics. Since then I’ve gained experience in a variety of settings from schools, inpatient hospital, private practice, as well as telepractice. I’ve also worked with a plethora of diagnosis such as autism, Downs, expressive/receptive language delay, feeding disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, articulation and phonological disorders, and hearing loss to name a few. Being mindful of mental health and integrating strategies for emotional well-being is an approach I feel strongly about in each of my therapy sessions. It’s vital for children and adults both to be emotionally regulated to create a strong foundation for learning new skills. Being a mother of two myself, I also recognize the importance of empowering families and caregivers and make it a priority to educate, guide, and train them to aid them in generalizing therapy strategies inside the home allowing their children to progress faster.

Alongside being an SLP, I’m also a children’s author, and an entrepreneur.

Bailey Wood, MS, CF-SLP

Hello all! I am so thrilled to be joining the KidSpeak team for my Clinical Fellowship, and I can’t wait to apply everything I’ve learned. I graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelors in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and a minor in Psychology in 2021, and recently with my Masters of Speech-Language Pathology in the summer of 2023! Working with children throughout graduate school was a joyful experience, and I love watching kids and families grow and learn. I had the privilege to work with a variety of age groups and diagnoses in school, and joining a private practice was a natural choice for me after the wonderful experiences I had. My favorite thing about being an SLP is seeing that everyone, no matter their diagnosis, their background, or their age, can always learn new ways to make progress and positively impact their life.

Outside of work I love to read and spend time with my parents, pets, and fiancé! I also love to try new things and am currently teaching myself to crochet!

Emily Lemon, MS, CCC-SLP

I am so excited to join the KidSpeak Dallas team! I am currently a school based SLP, and I have been working in Frisco ISD for the past 10 years. I have primarily worked at the elementary level, and I have supported multiple centralized classrooms which provided services for students with a wide variety of needs.  I have experience working in all areas of speech and language; however, my passion is building functional communication, as this is directly related to managing challenging behaviors. I believe in building strong relationships with the children I work with and their families, so we can have a foundation for growth and success. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology/Audiology and Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology degrees from the University of North Texas.  I absolutely love being a speech therapist, because I am able to give my clients a voice and the confidence to use it!

I have not started a family of my own yet, but I have three nephews and one niece who keep me busy, and I love to spoil them. I was an athlete growing up, so I am very competitive. I play sand volleyball and pool the most, but I am starting to TRY to play golf (I always put forth my best effort)!

Crista Gregoire, M.S., CCC-SLP

Hi I'm Crista! I am originally from southern California and graduated from San Diego State University with my B.A. in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences in 2020. I continued my studies at the University of Texas at Dallas, and earned my M.S. in Speech Language Pathology in May of 2022. I have recently completed my Clinical Fellowship year in a school district serving both early elementary and high school students. Throughout graduate school and my clinical fellowship, I've had experience working with patients across developmental periods with a variety of communication disorders. My areas of clinical experience include: receptive, expressive, and pragmatic language disorders, fluency disorders, articulation and phonology disorders, autism spectrum disorder, pediatric feeding disorders, AAC intervention, and more! I enjoy working with children of all ages, and have a particular passion for social communication intervention and empowering patients to advocate for themselves and build meaningful connections with others. I love collaborating with families, other SLPs, and interdisciplinary team members to find ways to build off a child's strengths and support their unique needs.

In my free time, I love indoor cycling and exploring the DFW area. I am thrilled to join the KidSpeak, LLC team as a summer therapist and look forward to connecting with families and a fantastic team of SLPs!
