Individual Speech and Language Therapy (at our office)

Individual speech and language therapy focuses on each child's individual priorities. Not only do these visits focus on therapy for the child, but also providing caregivers with strategies to facilitate communication and play with their child. These visits occur within the office.

Individual Speech and Language Therapy (at child's school)

Individual speech and language therapy focuses on each child's individual priorities. These visits may include pulling your child out of their classroom to deliver services; conducting a therapy session with the entire class, if the school and teacher permit; shadowing your child and facilitating various communication needs; facilitating social play and language skills with the other children in the classroom during center/recess times, etc. Also, if your child's school is outside the 15 mile radius from 4530 Beltway Drive South, Addison, TX 75001, an extra $10 will be charged for each additional 15 miles.

Therapeutic Play Dates (at our office)

Therapeutic play dates focus on increasing your child's play skills with other children. During these sessions, the family sets up a play date with the child of their choice. The Speech-Language Pathologist then facilitates showing, sharing, imitative play, cooperative play and symbolic play skills.

Parent/Caregiver Training Program

This program consists of a series of one hour training sessions for parents, siblings and caregivers throughout a semester. Parents will meet with their KidSpeak, LLC therapist once a month during a semester either at their house or at the KidSpeak, LLC office with/without their child where the focus is facilitating the child to function within the best of his or her ability within his or her natural environments.

Therapeutic Field Trips

Therapeutic Field Trips focus on increasing your child's receptive and expressive language within natural environments with their families. Therapeutic Field Trips entail families planning and going on a variety of field trips with their child but without the therapist to a variety of places such as the zoo, the aquarium, the fair, the movies and more. Your therapist will provide you with the following visuals/activities for your field trip in order to make it therapeutic and individualized for your child and their needs: a book about the field trip to read to your child before you go, two activities to complete on your field trip, a book for you and your child to complete together after your field trip as well as a list of other activities that might be helpful for your child.

Therapist for a Day

This service allows you to have a Therapist for a Day (5 hours) at your home helping/showing you different routines, transactional supports and more that you can easily utilize throughout your everyday life. The first 4 hours are spent you watching your Therapist Interact with your child as well as you interacting with your child within a "Regular Day of your Life". The last hour is going over any questions you may have, any suggestions your therapists has as well as any other recommendations.

Setting Up the Child's Environment (can be home, school, church, etc.)

Setting up visual supports in the child's natural environment provides opportunities to generalize new skills, communicate more effectively with family members (or teachers), and increase the effectiveness of in-office therapy. All visual supports created for the three visits are included in the cost for the service. The general process is as follows:

First visit: 30 minutes - 1 hour: initial visit with parents only to tour the home, discuss opportunities for visual supports and how to set up the home environment to encourage more/better communication from the child.

Second visit: 30 minutes - 1 hour: with parents only at their home to present all the visual/transactional supports and go over how to use them.

Third visit: 30 minutes - 1 hour:  with parents only at their home to discuss how the visuals are working, and any changes/additions that are needed. Note: Before we begin the process, you must have already completed an evaluation with us. Also, if your home/school/etc. is outside a 15 mile radius from 4530 Beltway Drive South, Addison, TX 75001, an extra $10 will be charged for each additional 15 miles.

Home Consultations

Home Consultations may be used for whatever the family desires: working on behavior challenges, working on training caregivers/parents/babysitters/professionals/and more, working on establishing and/or changes home routines, and much more! This service is cater to each specific families need and may change over time as their needs change.Note: Home Consultations will work best if the family has already participated in our service: Setting up the Child's Environment. If the home is outside a 15 mile radius from 4530 Beltway Drive South, Addison, TX 75001, an extra $10/hour will be charged for each additional 15 miles.

KidSpeak, LLC is a fee-for-service private pay practice, meaning the fee for your service is due the date of service. Currently we accept: cash, money order, personal checks, MasterCard, Visa and Discover Card.KidSpeak, LLC does not file insurance, however we will provide you with documentation that can be submitted for reimbursement from your insurance company.
