Speech and Language Screeners
Private Schools may set up a yearly “Language and/or
Articulation Screener” where a KidSpeak, LLC therapist comes to the school
and completes a Language and/or Articulation Screener on each age group.
Speech and Language Evaluation
A complete evaluation includes a parent interview, formal language and
articulation evaluation (if possible), and/or an informal functional
communication evaluation during which the speech-language pathologist
evaluates the child’s functional abilities across areas of play, receptive
language, expressive language, and social communication skills (pragmatic
language). Articulation and oral motor abilities may also be evaluated on an
as-needed basis. A comprehensive evaluation report, treatment plan, and
recommendations are also included. Re-Evaluation at 6 months
Individual Speech and Language Therapy
Individual speech and language therapy focuses on each child’s individual
priorities. Not only do these visits focus on therapy for the child but also
provide caregivers with strategies to facilitate communication and play with
their child.
Educational Consultations
Educational Consultations include attending ARD/IEP meetings, touring
different facilities with families, consulting with other professionals that work
with your child, consulting with parents on how to prepare for meetings with
other professionals, observing your child within school setting and more.
Educational/Parent Presentations
This service allows a KidSpeak, LLC therapist to come to your school or
organization’s office and complete a presentation/in-service on a topic of
your choice. Some popular topics have been: Speech and Language Red
Flags, Implementing the SCERTS Model in the Classroom, Implementing the
SCERTS Model in the Home, Potty Training, Transactional Supports: How to
use them in a variety of environments, Behavior and Discipline and
Language and Toys.

**In order to help your child the best within their school environment it
is also recommended that your child participate within at least one
weekly individual speech and language therapy visit.**
** If the school is outside a 15 mile radius from 4530 Beltway Drive
South, Addison, TX 75001, an extra $10/hour will be charged for each
additional 15 miles.**
