I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2004. While in Austin, I had the pleasure of working with children with autism spectrum disorders and their families within their homes and preschool environments facilitating improved speech, language and social interaction with peers. In 2006, I received my Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Texas Woman's University. Before starting KidSpeak, I worked with the pediatric population ranging in ages from birth to 19 years within an out-patient clinic setting as well as an Early Childhood Intervention Program in the Dallas area.
I feel that KidSpeak has allowed me to implement one of a kind care that is effective, family-centered and can be easily used across all naturalistic environments. I also feel that KidSpeak has allowed me to better collaborate with all of the people in the child's life like parents, siblings, grandparents, teachers and other therapists, which is so very important for carry-over and overall progress. At KidSpeak, it has been such a pleasure for Amanda and me to watch childrenvgrow as they have progressed and as they continue through theirvjourneys. We feel very lucky to be an active part of that each and everyday and to have so much fun with what we do.
